It’s only mid-September and you’re already wondering why you feel behind...
Well, maybe your kids are still in summer mode.
Maybe some curriculum hasn't arrived
Maybe you made a plan—and your days laughed.
Here’s the truth: you’re not behind.
Homeschooling isn’t a race. It’s a way of life. Some weeks are focused and full of traditional learning. Others are slower, but no less valuable. Some weeks may even be simple survival—and that’s okay. Progress isn’t always seen in finished pages or checked boxes. Progress takes on many forms, if you have the eyes to see it.
Your progress may be showing up with patience or adapting that unachievable schedule. Maybe you’re choosing to slow down and connect through read alouds.
Connection and reflection matter more than any “schedule” this September!
Take a breath. Reflect on why you're homeschooling. Adjust what needs to be adjusted.
And remember: the beauty of home education is that it flows with real life and thrives because of the relationships it nurtures; each and every day. So, this September, remember, there’s not a behind when you’re creating a “classroom” where learning stems from the heart.
There is time.
Give yourself grace.
You’ve got this!
