Hello and welcome to Led to Learn! I’m Kara, a homeschooling mom who’s been on this incredible journey for over 25 years, raising and educating five amazing kids.

I’m thrilled to share my experiences, tips, and heartfelt encouragement with you! I’ve watched four of my children graduate college, with my youngest beginning college in the fall. From budding artists to engineers, I’ve loved nurturing their unique passions and seeing where their paths lead.

Homeschooling has been a beautiful adventure for my family. I’ve loved customizing education to meet each of my children’s unique needs—whether that’s navigating dyslexia, managing giftedness, or cheering on their individual passions for sports, music, or the arts. My approach has been all about flexibility, blending the best of homeschooling with opportunities like co-ops, online courses, public school partnerships, religious programs, and private schools. Education is about finding what ignites each child’s love of learning whether that is at home, in a traditional setting, or a combination of each.  I believe education should fuel passion while fitting into your family’s culture.

For the past 20 years, I’ve also partnered with local school districts, helping homeschooling families with everything from curriculum choices to compliance and scheduling. I’ve spoken at parent gatherings and worked one-on-one to create personalized learning plans that make homeschooling feel doable and rewarding.
